I got out with Michael this morning back in the Ten Thousand Islands right near Cape Romano. Dawn start, 78 degrees, outgoing tide, barely any chop. The mullet run has really kicked in and it showed - we had snook eating on every cast. We fished our four hour morning and got back to the barn just before the rain rolled in. Capped it off with a couple cold beers at Captain Jack's.

What's Working

  • Outgoing tide at dawn near Cape Romano
  • Mullet run has the snook fired up, eating on every cast

Captain's Take: When the mullet run is on like this, nothing complicated about it - just get out there and get bit.

Conditions: Dawn, 78° water, outgoing tide, calm with no chop
